WOODSTOCK, Vt. — Woodstock girls soccer fell 1-0 at home Monday to unbeaten Springfield. The only goal came in the second half, and Springfield moved to 11-0 while the Wasps slipped to 2-8-1.
It was a hard-fought home night against an unbeaten opponent. Woodstock kept the game scoreless through a half and stayed within one to the end, but the loss was the Wasps’ third straight and their second straight one-goal defeat after a 2-1 loss at Hartford last week.
Woodstock girls soccer is next at home against Stratton Mountain School on Thursday, October 8, at 6:00 p.m.
That wraps up the day for Woodstock Union High School sports. We’ll see you next time!
