BRANDON, Vt. — Windsor football fell on the road Saturday, dropping a 0-10 result at Otter Valley. The Yellowjackets move to 2-3 and left the Otters at 4-0 after Otter Valley scored on a 33-yard field goal by Levi Whitney and a 1-yard quarterback keeper by Nolan Quenneville with 3:55 left in the first half.
Jack Burke carried the load for Windsor with 31 rushes for 145 yards, but the Yellowjackets could not break through for a score. It was a grind-it-out road night against an unbeaten Otter Valley side that protected the early lead and closed out the shutout.
Windsor football is next on the road at Springfield on Friday, October 9, at 7:00 p.m.

Woods Trail Run at Thetford Academy | Saturday, October 3
Windsor cross country raced at Thetford’s Woods Trail Run on Saturday. Junior Lysander Morton placed second in Boys Division 4 in 21:13.0. Senior Olivia Dube was fourth in Girls Division 2 in 23:20.6, and sophomore Natalie Ranney ran 25:37.9 in the same race. Team scores were not posted.
It was a solid individual meet for the Yellowjackets. Morton’s runner-up finish in Boys Division 4 and Dube’s top-four Girls Division 2 place led the Windsor group.
FIELD HOCKEY
Windsor at Fair Haven | Friday, October 2
FAIR HAVEN, Vt. — Windsor field hockey won on the road Friday, shutting out rival Fair Haven 1-0. The Yellowjackets move to 2-3-1 and left the Slaters at 3-5-1 after a one-goal away night.
It was a sharp rival road win in their league. Windsor found the only goal of the game and closed out the clean sheet on the road against a familiar opponent.
Windsor field hockey is next at home against Woodstock on Tuesday, October 6, at 4:00 p.m.

BOYS GOLF
South Qualifier at Crown Point | Friday, October 2
Windsor boys golf had a strong qualifier Friday at Crown Point Country Club. Jake Smith carded a medalist 74, and Daniel Parks shot 88 as both Yellowjackets advanced to states.
It was a standout day for the Windsor pair. Smith led the South field, Parks locked in his own ticket, and both move on to states Thursday at Ralph Myhre.
Windsor boys golf is next at the state tournament on Thursday at Ralph Myhre Golf Course.
