SHARON, Vt. — Rivendell girls soccer won on the road Saturday, beating Sharon 5-0. The Raptors snap an eight-game losing streak and move to 3-9 after a clear away win against the Phoenix.
It was a needed road breakthrough. Rivendell found the net early and often, and the clean sheet capped a full performance after a long skid.
Rivendell girls soccer is next at home against White River Valley on Wednesday, October 7, at 4:00 p.m.

Rivendell boys soccer fell on the road Saturday, dropping a 1-5 result at Sharon. Wyatt Parker scored for the Phoenix in the home win. The Raptors move to 5-5-1 after a tough away night.
It was a hard road test. Sharon controlled the match, and Rivendell could not keep pace once the Phoenix pulled away.

Rivendell cross country raced at Thetford’s Woods Trail Run on Saturday. Freshmen Ronan Stoudnour (26:48.9) and Theo Mohr (26:59.3) ran in the Boys Division 3 5,000 meters. Team scores were not posted.
It was a developmental meet day for the Raptors’ young runners at a crowded Woods Trail field.
