VERGENNES, Vt. - Oxbow girls soccer’s season ended Wednesday afternoon with a 0-7 loss at top-seeded Vergennes in the first round of the playoffs.
The 16th-seeded Olympians drew the toughest assignment in the bracket. Vergennes scored six times in the first half, and Ayla Kittredge finished with a hat trick and an assist, while Isabelle Van Voorst added two goals.
It was the same score as the teams’ first meeting, a 0-7 Vergennes win at Oxbow on Sept. 23. Vergennes improves to 14-1 and hosts Randolph in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

DeGoosh said before the season, “I’m looking forward to coaching this group. They have a lot of potential.” The Olympians say goodbye to a senior group that included returners Addison Marsh, Aneta Morse, Brianna Marsh and Mackenzie Pearl.
