LEBANON, N.H. - Lebanon boys soccer is heading into the tournament on a roll. The Raiders beat John Stark 2-0 at home Friday in their regular-season finale for their fourth straight win.
Lebanon finishes the regular season 10-3-2, already three more wins than last year’s 7-5-4 team that reached the quarterfinals. The Raiders are unbeaten in their last six games (5-0-1) and have not lost since a 0-2 home loss to Bow on Oct. 2.
Defense has been the backbone. Friday was Lebanon’s eighth clean sheet of the fall, and goalie Bently Lang came into the game with seven shutouts. The Raiders have allowed 13 goals in 15 games while scoring 33.
The win capped a strong week. On Tuesday, Lucas Plummer and Liam Sullivan scored twice each in a 5-0 win at Coe-Brown, and Sullivan’s second goal came with 12 seconds left in the first half. Coach Rob Johnstone said afterward, “Coe-Brown entered having beaten top-ranked ConVal and tied top-4 Bow in its last three games, and also needed a win to stay in playoff contention, so a great result for us.”
John Stark drops to 6-7-3. The Raiders now wait to learn their tournament seeding.
