BENNINGTON, Vt. - Hartford football put up 20 points on the road Friday night but fell 34-20 at Mount Anthony. The Hurricanes drop to 1-5 on the season, while Mount Anthony improves to 4-2.
Hartford kept scoring against one of the better teams on its schedule, but could not keep pace with the Patriots. The Hurricanes come home next week looking for their second win of the fall.
Hartford football is next at home against Lyndon on Thursday, October 15.

Hartford field hockey lost a close one on the road Friday, falling 3-2 at Burr and Burton in Manchester. The Hurricanes scored twice but came up one goal short.
Hartford moves to 7-5-1 on the season, and Burr and Burton is now 7-5. The Hurricanes have stayed above .500 all fall with the regular season winding down.
VOLLEYBALL
Hartford at Enosburg Falls | Friday, October 9
Hartford volleyball took a set from one of the top teams in the state Friday but fell 3-1 at Enosburg Falls. The set scores were 25-15, 20-25, 25-20 and 25-10 for Enosburg.
The Hurricanes won the second set 25-20 and drop to 8-3 on the season, while Enosburg improves to 13-1.
Hartford volleyball is next on the road at Vermont Commons on Monday, October 12, at 5:30 p.m.
