STRATTON MOUNTAIN, Vt. — Hartford boys soccer kept its strong season rolling Thursday with a 2-1 road win at Stratton Mountain. The Hurricanes move to 10-1 on the season, while Stratton Mountain falls to 2-3-2.
It was a close game the whole way, and Hartford did just enough to get out with the win. The Hurricanes have now won 10 of their first 11 games and stay near the top of their league with the regular season winding down.
Hartford boys soccer is next on the road at Springfield on Saturday, October 10, at 4:00 p.m.

Hartford at Green Mountain Valley School | Thursday, October 8
Hartford girls soccer fell 5-0 on the road at Green Mountain Valley School in Waitsfield on Thursday. GMVS led 3-0 at halftime and pulled away in a non-conference game.
The Hurricanes drop to 5-5-1, while GMVS improves to 5-2. Hartford gets right back at it on the road this weekend.
Hartford girls soccer is next on the road at Otter Valley on Saturday, October 10, at 6:00 p.m.

Hartford at Ralph Myhre Golf Course, Middlebury | Thursday, October 8
Hartford boys golf finished sixth out of eight teams at the state championships at Ralph Myhre Golf Course in Middlebury on Thursday. The Hurricanes shot a team score of 373, finishing ahead of Bellows Falls (426) and Green Mountain (428).
Harwood won its second straight title with a 331, followed by Middlebury (334), U-32 (342), Stowe (357) and Lyndon (360). U-32's Bubba Chamberlain repeated as medalist with a 77. Hartford's lineup was Teelin Nowlan, Cody Hathorn, Matthew Bean, Wyatt Chambers and Jackson Whitney.
