Hartford’s boys golf team posted the low score in a six-team field Thursday, carding 181 to beat Otter Valley (187), Green Mountain (191), Bellows Falls (215), Mill River (221), and Springfield (227). Teelin Nowlan led the Hurricanes with a 43, followed by Cody Hathorn (45), Wyatt Chambers (46), Matthew Bean (47), and Jackson Whitney (49). Soft rain and wind marked the round; the kids stayed focused, and staff were proud of both teams for setting goals and sticking to them. The girls nearly matched the boys day — Springfield edged Hartford 113-114, with Ayela Emery second and Vivian Tsouknakis third overall behind Springfield’s Maddie Streeter.

Hartford’s boys placed fourth as a team (73). Elijah Ofstad was the top Hurricane in 10th (18:56). The girls also finished fourth (97); Sylvia Johnson took second overall in 22:23.
