HANOVER, N.H. — Hanover football came up just short at home Friday, falling 18-13 to unbeaten Souhegan. The Marauders move to 2-3 and left the Sabers at 5-0 after a tight night on the turf.
It was a hard home test in their division. Souhegan stayed perfect and found enough points to hold off Hanover down the stretch, while the Marauders could not finish the comeback before the final whistle.
Hanover football is next on the road at John Stark on Saturday, October 10, at 1:00 p.m.

Hanover field hockey won on the road Friday, beating Plymouth 3-1. The Marauders move to 7-2-1 and left the Bobcats at 6-4-1 after a sharp away conference night.
It was another strong road statement in their division. Hanover finished its chances and kept control after taking the lead, extending a solid stretch of form away from home.

Hanover volleyball won a five-set road match Friday, beating Kingswood 3-2 in Wolfeboro. The Marauders move to 7-1 and left the Knights at 6-3 after a full road battle.
It was a grind on the road in their division. Hanover needed all five sets to close the win and kept its strong season mark intact away from home.
